"He who steps on the footprints of the Indian returns" ... It is a saying from the west of Formosa ... and I deeply believe it, it is not magic, because to tread is to walk together paths of pain and hope, of reality and dreams, paths of great wisdom. That is why one wants to return, to feel the force of life again.

On this page you can step on their footprints, the footprints of the Siwel Yis community (in their language it means friend of the white man). Located west of Formosa, 20 km from the border with the province of Salta.

You can step on the footprints of 14 families, 10 adults, 16 young people and 34 children, who dream of inhabiting their land, developing by integrating their culture with what arrives and having their house of material.

The project began with the objective of making earth and cement bricks, also called ecological because they do not have to be burned in kilns

(5 days of fire of trees that burn).

The first stage was training to learn how to make bricks.

The second stage, which is the one in which the project is currently, is the manufacture of bricks and self-construction of 5 houses of 3 x 5 meters for the families of the community.

The third stage will be the marketing and sale of these bricks in other places.

This project is endorsed by the Passionist Missionaries, all funds are administered via the non-profit Civil Association Passionist Parents. If you want, you can add your footprint by participating in this auction or by making a donation.
